Instead of knowing exactly when your race begins, you only know the potential timeframe (usually spanning several months). When the race actually starts, you receive a notification and have exactly 24 hours to complete your run.

This approach eliminates over-planning and forces you to maintain constant readiness, building both physical fitness and mental resilience.

You'll receive instant notifications through:

• Email notification to your registered address
• SMS text message (if phone number provided)
• Push notification through our website
• In-app notification if you have our mobile app

We recommend enabling all notification methods to ensure you don't miss the start signal.

This is part of the challenge! MysteryRun is designed to test your adaptability and readiness. However, we understand life happens:

• Medical emergencies and serious illness are valid exceptions
• You can defer to the next available race (limited deferrals per year)
• Travel and work commitments are part of what makes this challenging

The goal is to develop a lifestyle where you're consistently prepared for unexpected opportunities to move.

Registration fees vary by race distance and duration:

• 5K Mystery Races: $15
• 10K Mystery Races: $25
• Half Marathon Mystery Races: $35
• Marathon Mystery Races: $50

Annual membership ($99) includes unlimited race entries plus exclusive challenges and community features.

All fees help maintain the platform, provide participant support, and fund prizes for top performers.

You can submit your completion through several methods:

• GPS tracking apps (Strava, Garmin Connect, etc.)
• Upload photos with timestamp
• Fitness tracker data sync
• Manual entry with verification photos

We use honor system combined with spot-checking. Fraudulent submissions result in permanent ban from the platform.

Your safety is paramount:

• Choose your own route and running conditions
• Run with friends or in groups when possible
• Inform someone about your running plans
• Carry identification and emergency contacts
• Trust your judgment about weather and conditions

If conditions are unsafe (severe weather, injury, etc.), your safety comes first. Document the situation and contact support.

We offer mystery races at standard distances:

• 5K (3.1 miles) - Perfect for beginners
• 10K (6.2 miles) - Popular challenge distance
• Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - Serious commitment
• Marathon (26.2 miles) - Ultimate test

Special themed challenges and unique distances are occasionally offered to premium members.

You can register for multiple distances simultaneously, but each requires separate registration.

All race start times are coordinated globally:
